Learn VFX and Graphics with Adobe After Effects

“A motion design software app that lets you create amazing visual effects for film, TV, video, and the web.”

This training requires a student to have a copy of Adobe After Effects.

Adobe After Effects is the most widely used and accessible program to create visual effects and motion graphics.

It interfaces with other popular Adobe programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, and your finished work can be imported into any editing software.

You will need a beginner to intermediate level knowledge of After Effects.

Not familiar with the program? Don’t worry.

For those brand new to the software, we have an optional After Effects Essentials course to get you familiar and serve as a reference library for any questions while moving through the VFX or Graphics training.

How The Art of VFX & Graphics for Editors works

"Which course package should I choose?"

We’ve separated this training into three options. A student can choose to learn visual effects – things like keying, rotoscoping, object replacement and more or they can choose to learn commercial graphics – things like title cards, lower thirds, animated screens and more. Additionally, students can choose to learn everything with our Complete Bundle. The Complete Bundle includes both VFX and graphics training PLUS the After Effects Essentials course and a 4.5 hour design masterclass with a motion graphics professional.

"Which software do I need to take the training?"

First and foremost, students will need to have a copy of Adobe After Effects. For those brand new to the program you can choose to add the After Effects Essentials training which will get you started and act as a reference library along the way should you need it.

We have provided video files with The Art of VFX & Graphics for Editors (the VFX, Graphics and Complete Bundle options) which you can use with almost any editing software to import your completed project exports from After Effects.

"Will I get permanent access to the lessons, footage and audio?"

Absolutely. Once you enroll, you’ll have lifetime access to all lessons, resources and downloadable content.

"Will I get a certificate that shows I completed the course?"

Yes. When you finish the course, email our editing team at editors@filmeditingpro.com and include a link to your cut.

We’ll take a look, make sure you completed all the assignments and issue you a Certificate of Completion (sample). The certificate will have a unique verification code that you can enter on our website to prove you completed the course.

What if…?

"What if I need help in the course?"

For each project we have provided a copy of our finished project file should you need it for reference.

If you ever get stuck on anything in the course or even want a technique explained a bit further, just email us. Our editing team (editors@filmeditingpro.com) will get right back to you with an answer.

You can also email our support team (support@filmeditingpro.com) if you need help with anything in your account or on the website.

"Do you have a payment plan?"

Yes — we offer an affordable 12 month payment plan option. Just choose which version of the course you want (Visual Effects, Graphics or the Complete Bundle) and pick the payment plan option.

On the same day each month, your payment will be automatically processed until you reach the 12th month. Keep in mind that this is NOT a monthly subscription. You will need to make all 12 payments, unless you request a qualified refund in the first 30 days.

What if I purchase the course and then decide it's not for me?

We stand by this course with a 100% money-back guarantee. Try the entire course and decide if it’s right for you.

If you don’t love it, no worries. Just email us within the first 30 days, show us you watched the lessons and attempted the work and we’ll refund your money.

"Can I upgrade to the Complete Bundle later?"

Yes — you can upgrade your course package at any time. Just email us at support@filmeditingpro.com and one of our team members will be happy to help.

“Can I get a discount for being a student? In the military? Paying in cash?"

We do not offer any discounts for the course. We’ve designed it so that all students have access to a variety of pricing levels and payment options to make things fair and accessible for everyone.

"When will this be available again?"

We don’t know the exact dates of each enrollment period. We try to offer a couple opportunities each year but the exact dates depend on our full-time editing schedules. It’s important that we have enough editors available for each enrollment period to help students as they move through the course.
