Training Course FAQs
Q: How do your courses work?
A: These are video-based training courses that you can take from anywhere in the world. All of the video lessons can be streamed from the website and the accompanying footage, music and sound effects can be downloaded to your hard drive for use in your editing software.
Q: Is there a time limit to complete a course?
A: Once you enroll, you can work with the materials and go through the course whenever you want. You are not limited to a specific amount of time. The only time limitation is on the opportunity to enroll, but once you’re in, you’ll have full access forever.
Q: What if I need help in the course?
A: Our entire team of editors is available to help with any creative or technical challenges you might encounter. You can email the entire team of editors (editors [at] filmeditingpro dot com) and one of us will help you right away.
Q: What software can I use with Film Editing Pro training courses?
A: You can use any video editing software to follow along. The creative editing techniques are designed to be applicable to all editing programs.
Q: Can I use the music & sound effects in my own projects?
A: Much of the music & sound is indeed free to use in any project, commercial or otherwise. However, some is only for educational use (unless you choose to license it). The details of which is which can be found in each individual course.
Q: Can I use my final edited piece on my demo reel?
A: Yes! We hope that you do. We do request that you keep it behind some sort of password protection though, such as private Vimeo or YouTube.
Q: How do I get my completion certificate?
A: When you finish with the training, you simply email your cut to editors [at]filmeditingpro [dot] [com], we’ll review the work to make sure it’s complete, then we’ll issue your certificate of completion. Each certificate comes with a unique verification code that you can enter on our site (http://certification.filmeditingpro.com/) to verify its authenticity.
Account & Payment FAQs
Q: What if I can’t login to my account?
A: No worries! First, try clearing your browser cache/cookies. Often your web browser can cause issues with logging into a site. If that works, great! If not, try the next step…
Next, try using the “Forgot Password” link to reset your password. Be sure to check your “spam” and “junk” folders to make sure the email doesn’t get lost. Still can’t get it?

Q: How does the payment plan work?
A: With most courses, we offer an optional payment plan to split up the cost into smaller monthly payments. The first payment is due at the time of purchase the the remaining payments are automatically charged to your card on file each month until the full amount is paid.
Keep in mind, a payment plan is not like a subscription. Users who choose to purchase the course with a payment plan are required to complete all payments included in the plan. Failure to do so will result in access to the course being removed until the delinquent payments are made.

Q: Do you offer any discounts or scholarships?
A: We’ve made it a policy not to offer discounts or scholarships in order to keep things fair across the board to all students.
